Please join members of the LGBTQIA+ Faculty Affinity Network at this panel on Research by, with, and for the Queer Community, being held at Douglass Library and via Zoom on Monday 1/13,  from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Complete details will be circulated soon.

One of the presenters will be our Dr. Edward Alessi on trauma-informed qualitative research in the LGBTQIA+ community. Other presentations will be on field work by queer scholars in unfriendly jurisdictions, and the results of the Rutgers DEI survey among Queer-identifying faculty respondents.

Prizm Support Group

Open to ages 18-29, this peer support group is geared towards those experiencing the unique set of challenges that come as part of emerging adulthood. From navigating the trials that come with entering the workforce, to evolving friendships, and other life shifts, this group offers a space for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings surrounding these changes. The first half of the group is dedicated to support, and the second half is reserved for socializing and games.

Oasis: QTPOC Support & Social @ Pride Center of NJ

Oasis is a support and social group for queer and trans people of color (QTPOC) to find community.

The first half is a peer-based support group and the second hour is to socialize and play games together.

Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks, games, and other activities they would like to share with the group.

This group centers QTPOC.

White allies are welcome to check the PCNJ program lineup for other groups available.

This event for transgender, gender non-conforming, and/or non-binary folks to receive support from peers and learn more about access to health resources and skills they may benefit from! They meet every Tuesday, which varies from online to in-person based off what Tuesday of the month it is.
