RU Transitioning: Three-Day Event in Support of Trans Lifeline


RU Transitioning is a three-day long event designed to educate, advocate, and build a community around supporting the trans community and increasing accessibility to gender affirming care. All the events will be taking place at Demarest Hall from February 5th to the 7th. 

February 5th - Day 1, 4-8 pm : Art and Health Fair

A kickoff with interactive tables featuring student health organizations, queer alliances, and other health-focused booths to bring awareness to LGBTQ+ health and resources.

Features a crafting event for students and promotional booths for partner organizations.

February 6th - Day 2: Panels and Presentations

Educational presentations on topics like medication therapy, surgery, and mental health, led by student and professional speakers.

Panels with healthcare providers, social workers, and specialists, encouraging dialogue on trans healthcare topics.

February 7th - Day 3, 7-10pm: Open Mic Night

A coffeehouse-style event for trans individuals and allies to share experiences, with performances and health education resources.

Opportunities for charity fundraising for trans health-focused organizations.
